Become a trustee

Want to become a trustee of Long Ashton Community Association? We are recruiting to a number of voluntary positions to join our Board of  Trustees.

Our vision places the Long Ashton Community Centre at the heart of the community by providing a secure, culturally diverse and accessible space that is valued and supported by everybody in the local community.

We do this by enabling and facilitating inclusive activities which embrace and address the education, training, health, social, cultural and recreational needs of the community of Long Ashton and Leigh Woods.

Whether you are an experienced Trustee or wanting to take you first step at a Board level, we want to hear from you.
Below are some of the Trustee skills we are looking for:

  • Finance
  • Public relations
  • Property management
  • Human resources
  • Fundraising
  • Sports and activities

As a Trustee you will have:

  • Induction & Training
  • Opportunities to develop new skills
  • The chance to make a difference to benefit the community of Long Ashton
  • Develop and guide the Association to ensure its sustainability now and for the future generations of Long Ashton.

The expected time commitment is at least 4 Trustee meetings per year (4 meetings held), one full day for strategic development and some ad-hoc committee work.
