The Community Centre is making a fresh start.
The LACA trustees have delegated the management of the Centre to the Parish Council including the transition to a modern charity – a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). So there’s a new team at the helm with a short time to focus on:
- Setting up the CIO
- Establishing the Compass Group that enables residents and users to get involved in supporting the community centre and influencing decision-making
- Starting the process of recruiting new Trustees to the CIO
- Making sure the finances and policies are fit for purpose
The aim is to achieve a sound modern structure so that new Trustees feel confident to get on-board and take the helm.
