An established & welcoming yoga group, taught by Jane at the Village Hall since 2005 – a lovely way to start the week! Jane is a ‘British Wheel of Yoga’ teacher with over 20 years of experience. The Badminton Club plays in Keeds Hall every Thursday evening between 19:30 and 22:00.  The season runs from the first Thursday in October to the last Thursday in March.

Boxfit Fridays

Boxing can often be the fastest, most effective way to burn the maximum amount of calories in the shortest amount of time. It works the entire body helping to tone, sculpt and provide a fantastic weight loss result. This is a seriously fun way to shed the pounds.
All fitness levels are welcome to join this fun class based boxing session. All equipment is supplied so just bring yourself along.

Sequence dance club meets on the second Saturday evening of the month between 19:30-23:30. Located in the Village Hall, this group creates a happy friendly atmosphere promoting sequence dancing locally.

Fit Steps

Strictly come dancing stars Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite have teamed up with six time champion world swimmer Mark Foster, a former strictly contestant and an expert in fitness and conditioning to produce a unique dance and fitness programme  ‘Fit Steps’ by ‘Dancexcellence’.  They have combined for the first time, the best known and popular Latin and Ballroom dances with proven fitness techniques to develop a dance/fitness programme that is capable of delivering fast fitness results, with a heap of fun thrown in.

Football Club

The Long Ashton Football Club runs 3 teams. The First Team play in the Somerset County League, with the Reserve & ‘A’ Teams playing in the Bristol and Suburban Association Football League. The club is always looking for new players, aged 16+. There is also an associated Social Club on Saturdays in the Griffin Lounge. Training takes place at 18.30 on Thursday evenings on the 3G pitch at Bristol Grammar School. We meet in the car park at Old Bristolians, Longwood Lane and walk a short distance to the pitch. There is a cost of £1 per player, payable before training, to cover the hire charge.

There is also a veteran’s team (aged 35+) operating under the name LA Codgers, who compete in the Bristol Casuals League. Games take place on Sunday mornings, with kick-off times varying from 10:30 – 11:00. There are 89 games a season.

Long Ashton Tennis Club is a friendly club playing on 2 courts behind the Community Centre on Keedwell Hill. Players of all ages and standards are very welcome to come and try a few sessions. 

We play Monday and Wednesday evenings (7.30-10.00) and Saturday afternoons (2.30-5.00) with mixedladies and men’s doubles and singles. We play friendlies with other clubs, hold club tournaments and social events and as a Lawn Tennis Association Registered Club (see Places to Play and find a courtalso have some club Wimbledon tickets each year. Gary Osborn-Clarke has been teaching yoga since 2002 and practising yoga since 1995. His classes focus on yoga asanas (postures/exercises), based on BKS Iyengar’s methods and Ashtanga Vinyasa’s sequential flow. It is a traditional approach, influenced by Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras: asanas, dhyana (meditation) and pranayamas (breathing exercises).
