An established & welcoming yoga group, taught by Jane at the Village Hall since 2005 – a lovely way to start the week! Jane is a ‘British Wheel of Yoga’ teacher with over 20 years of experience. Badminton

The Badminton Club plays in Keeds Hall every Thursday evening between 19:30 and 22:00. The season runs from the first Thursday in October to the last Thursday in March

Dance Mums

A new weekly mum and baby class commencing Wednesday 21st September from 10am until 11am in Keeds Hall at the Community Centre.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you could combine the fun of a night out, a playdate for your baby and reconnecting to your body into one 60 minute session?

DanceMums is a 60-minute dance class that caters for your fitness, social life and your  happiness (and your baby’s) in just one weekly session!

You get to boogie whilst toning your whole body and meeting a new bunch of fun mummy friends!

This class is suitable for all abilities, shapes and sizes. No previous dance experience needed. You can do as much or as little as suits you. Lots of toning up movements, stretches, and some new dance routines including Contemporary Dance, Vernacular Jazz, Russian Folk, social Salsa, African dance.

Football Club

The Long Ashton Football Club runs two teams. The First Team play in the Somerset County League and the reserves “Long Ashton Victoria” play in the Bristol and Suburban Association Football League. The club is always looking for new players, aged 16+. In summer months, training takes place at 18.30 on Thursday evenings at Long Ashton Community Centre. During winter, training is 19.00-20.00 at Clifton College Grounds, Beggar Bush Lane. £1 per player, payable before training, to cover the hire charge.

Tennis

Long Ashton Tennis Club is a friendly club playing on 2 courts behind the Community Centre on Keedwell Hill. Players of all ages and standards are very welcome to come and try a few sessions. 

We play Monday and Wednesday evenings (7.30-10.00) and Saturday afternoons (2.30-5.00) with mixedladies and men’s doubles and singles. We play friendlies with other clubs, hold club tournaments and social events and as a Lawn Tennis Association Registered Club (see Places to Play and find a courtalso have some club Wimbledon tickets each year. Yoga with Gary

Friday mornings in the Pavilion 10:00 am to 11:15 am.

Gary Osborn-Clarke has been teaching yoga since 2002 and practising yoga since 1995. His classes focus on yoga asanas (postures/exercises), based on BKS Iyengar’s methods and Ashtanga Vinyasa’s sequential flow. It is a traditional approach, influenced by Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras: asanas, dhyana (meditation) and pranayamas (breathing exercises).

Gary’s classes run during term time, attend as often as you can, be it weekly or occasionally, you are always welcome. Classes open to all levels of experience: beginners to the experienced yoga practitioner, any questions contact Gary.
