We are recruiting for the following roles:

Part-time caretaker

Hours: 10 hours a week spread over 3-4 days, plus holiday caretaking and cleaning cover. Hours include all day Tuesdays (although only on site during bookings), weekends and one Friday afternoon/evening per month. The job would suit someone who lives locally and could work some early morning and some late night shifts. Job share possibility.

Role: Main duties include setting up halls for users, greeting new users at the start of bookings, checking cleanliness of halls and partaking in one hour of recreation ground warden duties per week. Candidates should be hard-working, have good customer service skills, and be able to partake in physically demanding tasks such as moving stacks of chairs and trestle tables.

Pay: £7.52 per hour in week, £9.50 per hour at weekends

Hours: One monthly meeting, and 6-8 hours per month of top of this

Role: The trustee would join our management committee in making decisions related to the running of the centre, as well as volunteering at events and helping to put new projects in to action

Skills required: The candidate must be reliable, committed, passionate about the local community and adept at working collaboratively with others. We would be particularly interested in taking on someone from a legal or HR background, but would love to hear from you if you have any specific skills that you think could benefit us. The candidate must be a resident of Long Ashton.

Are you able to give your time to help out at our community events and/or in the L A Cafe? We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help at the centre. We can offer a variety of benefits in exchange for your time, such as free or reduced-price theatre tickets, food and drink.
