LONG ASHTON CINEMA is a non-profit group run by local volunteers. Our aim is to offer a wide variety of good quality films at affordable prices on your doorstep. They screen at least one film at month and it’s a social place where guests can have a drink and a chat before and after the screening.

Every child signed up for the term receives the Babel Journal and this term we have some gorgeous spring-themed surprises to collect, including a spring spotter’s guide to complete together, and all of the weekly stickers tracking languages and metacognitive skills, and limited edition postcards of the songs.

Learning Kung Fu is an excellent way for children to develop self-confidence, discipline and respect for others. It also improves fitness, coordination and mental focus. Classes are specifically geared to children and run in a safe environment by a fully qualified martial arts instructor and primary school teacher. Typical sessions include warm ups, Kung Fu drills, games and forms.
